the leader in clean beauty

We take reduce, reuse, and recycle to heart and our ever-growing mission is to significantly reduce our virgin plastic usage in packaging. We are taking steps in a packaging-conscious direction by choosing lighter and hollower packaging to reduce its carbon footprint.

We work directly with a Forest Stewardship Council chain of custody provider to produce sustainable and renewable secondary packaging with low-impact inks that is recyclable since 2019. Our paper is sustainably sourced from a responsibly managed tree farm combined with chip shavings from lumber mills that make new homes.

Boscia Skincare

Boscia’s most recent launches were designed with sustainability in mind. Cica Soothing Universal Cream features 100% PCR packaging and is 100% recyclable, while the Probiotic Exfoliating Powder Face + Scalp is made of a 100% PCR bottle with a 30% PCR cap and offers our first-ever plastic-free refill option.

At boscia, we’re rooted in botanicals + science to deliver conscious beauty for sensitive skin, without the worry. It’s our ever-growing mission to break boundaries with a modern sensibility for the body and environment. Our pledge is to update and improve packaging with every new production run. No matter how small the improvement, we truly believe every effort counts. Currently, 50% of our packaging is made from recyclable and post-consumer recycled materials. By 2025, our goal is to have all 100% of our packaging made from recyclable, post-consumer recycled, or be refillable.

To lower our carbon footprint, significant changes were made to the packaging for Cactus Water Moisturizer and Chia Seed Moisture Cream. The packaging was reduced by 50% in plastic weight by transitioning to 30% post-consumer recycled plastic and both spatulas were removed. We’re also reduced our virgin plastic usage in the following formulations: Resurfacing Treatment Toner, Peptide Trio Eye Cream, Indigo Eye Cream, Sake Treatment Water, and our 0.6% Pro-Retinol Repair + Renew Waterless Advanced Treatment.

Boscia partnered with EcoCart to offer consumers the option to go carbon-neutral at checkout with just one-click. Just this year, boscia has offset over 14,000 lbs. of Co2 on all orders placed on boscia.com.

At Boscia, we know sustainability doesn’t happen overnight, but we are committed to making strides to increase our sustainability efforts. We are mindful of the impact plastic packaging has on the environment and are consciously working to make more sustainable choices when it comes to the materials we use.
